Moving On | 11 January 2026

In this message, Pastor Chas encourages the church to move forward into a new season with faith, confidence, and trust in God. He reminds us that as one year or season comes to an end, it’s important to leave behind what is unhelpful, unhealthy, or simply too comfortable. Faith grows when we choose not to dwell on the past but instead fix our eyes on what God is doing now and where He is leading us next.

Turning to the story of Joshua, he highlights a powerful moment of transition. Moses has died, and Joshua is called to step up and lead God’s people forward. God’s words to Joshua, “Be strong and courageous”, are repeated to remind us that God encourages His people when they face new responsibilities. This wasn’t a sudden promotion for Joshua; God had been preparing him over many years through learning, mentoring, and faithful service. In the same way, God prepares us over time for what He calls us to do.

Pastor Chas challenges us to reflect on seasons in our lives where it may be time to step out, move forward, and trust God. He reminds us that stepping into God’s promises requires preparation. Before crossing the Jordan River, Joshua called the people to sanctify themselves, meaning to turn away from old habits, align their priorities with God, and live holy lives set apart for Him.

He highlights that God’s presence always goes before His people. Just as the ark of the covenant led Israel into the river, God’s presence must lead the church into every new step. He expresses a desire to see God move powerfully in this generation, bringing healing, transformation, and renewed faith in homes, schools, and communities.

Pastor Chas closes with practical encouragement for the season ahead: let go of the past, forgive where needed, embrace what God is doing now, renew your mind through God’s Word, serve others, and trust God with your future. Keep moving forward. God is with you, He will make a way, and He will never leave or forsake you.
