1 Timothy 6 | 12 October 2025

Pastor Marion Sandhu brings todays message from 1 Timothy 6, on the three faces of gracepardon, power, and promise—exploring the depth and beauty of God’s unearned favour.

She  explains that in Paul’s time, slavery was part of society, yet the gospel made masters and slaves spiritual equals. She relates this to modern workplaces, reminding Christians to work with respect, integrity, and diligence, as their work reflects their faith. She warns against false teachers who twist Scripture for personal gain, urging believers to know the Word deeply so they won’t be misled by cultural trends or empty arguments.

Pastor Marion highlights verse 6—“true godliness with contentment is great wealth” and urges us to pursue eternal treasure, not material riches. She reminds us that Jesus will one day return, though no one knows when, and calls us to live ready and faithful lives.

She defines grace as “everything God is and does for us in our tired and sinful lives.” Grace doesn’t erase life’s hardships but enables us to face them with peace—knowing that “it is well with my soul.” She describes grace as unmerited favour—God giving us what we don’t deserve—and mercy, His decision not to give us what we do deserve. Through grace, God pardons sin, empowers believers, and promises eternal life.

Quoting Ephesians 2:8, she explains that salvation is a free gift received by faith, not by works. Using the story of the thief on the cross, she illustrates “saving grace”: though the man had no good deeds to offer, Jesus promised him paradise. Grace is for everyone—completely undeserved but freely given.

She concludes with three invitations—to receive salvation through Christ, to rediscover the wonder of grace, and to extend that same grace generously to others. Grace, she says, is not just a word—it is the heartbeat of the gospel and the lifeblood of the Christian walk.
