This past Sunday at The Lighthouse Church was a time of vibrant worship and inspiring messages, as we gathered to praise and seek guidance from our Lord. The service began with a warm welcome and a reminder from the Psalmist that “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” It was a particularly joyous occasion as we celebrated the recent approval of our plans for 18 and 19 Broad Street, a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of prayer.
The worship was uplifting, with songs that stirred our hearts, such as “King of Glory” and “How Great Thou Art,” reminding us of God’s greatness and our call to worship Him in spirit and truth. The sense of community was palpable as we joined together, lifting our voices in praise and thanksgiving.
Pastor Chaz delivered a poignant sermon continuing our series on the life of Elijah. He reflected on the prophet’s journey, highlighting Elijah’s humanity, his moments of fear, and his ultimate reliance on God. The message was a powerful reminder that even in our lowest moments, God is present, providing for us and guiding us forward. Pastor Chaz encouraged us to confront our fears, avoid spiritual lows, and stay steadfast in our faith, knowing that God is with us through every trial.
In addition to the sermon, there were heartfelt prayers, a moving communion service, and a special announcement about the upcoming marriage of Nancy and Sam. The congregation was encouraged to continue praying for our church’s future and to support one another through life’s challenges.
As we left the service, we were filled with a renewed sense of purpose and hope, ready to face the week ahead with the knowledge that God is always with us, guiding and sustaining us. Thank you for being a part of this uplifting and faith-affirming community at The Lighthouse Church.
